Can we have a shoutbox on sinisterly

mothered · 05-09-2023, 11:05 AM

It's been suggested a number of times:

https://sinister.li/Thread-Suggestion-Add-a-shoutbox
https://sinister.li/Thread-Shoutbox--65909
https://sinister.li/Thread-why-dont-we-have-a-shout-box?
https://sinister.li/Thread-Denied-Add-chat-feature?

Unless @Oni sees otherwise as of late, the answer Is pretty clear.

We have a Discord for people that want to BS with each other, but I don't want to make instantaneous communication the basis of our existence. We had a shoutbox years ago and it didn't contribute to the site in any meaningful way.

Shoutbox? It was popular almost 5-10 years ago in MyBB forums, but now...

I do not concur with this suggestion.

All good, no need to apologize.

Suggestions on realistic grounds are always welcomed.
