i mean until people can talk live to other members thats good, its better than using sinister.ly's DM system (even though its not bad, for a quick chat its not the best lol)

It's been suggested many times and declined.

If It were a decade ago, I'd agree with this suggestion.

It's probably been 5+ years since we've had a shoutbox or chat.

Understandably, the newer members won't know of when we actually had the live chat. From experience, I can honestly say it wasn't that good. While Discord isn't the most ideal solution, it's the only one our members have consistently used. We've tried IM services on the site, we've tried IRCs (MANY TIMES) and have had little success with them.

I don't think we should need a chat system inside the forum.
If you want to chat (with the users of the forum) use the Discord chat.

i dont like discord , i want shout-box in forum ...so that we can talk here when we visit forum..otherwise it make me very bored when i reply to someone and he reply 3 hour later , must have quick chat inside forum only..

shout-out box depend on interaction we are thinking like that as we normally reply to other post after 1 hour - 2 hour...but we will change from time to time ..as much more members will interact..without testing we cannot say anything until we try it may be our thinking is wrong..

Please re-read our previous comments. We did indeed have live-chat option in the past. They are no longer here for a reason. The reason we say no is, because we have tried it, and it didn't work out. The reality is, people come here because it's a forum, not because it has live chat features. If you want live chat, that's what the discord is for. If people are taking 3 hours to reply to a post, they would have taken 3 hours to reply to your live chat message. If you tag someone, or send a reply in their thread, they get an instant notification, the same as you would with a live chat. that time i was not there but now i am here .... like you say shout box useless same i can say i dont like discord...i dont like discord neither in PC nor in mobile..in my opinoin mostly all forum contain discord as well shout-box.... so there is no competition going on here if shout-box implemented than discord.. will be remove vice versa....both option are good in there place..but yes if telegram group for sinister than i ready to join but not discord ...i dont know why i hate discord so much...depend on you guyz bring something new or life will goes like this only....

To be fair, if a lot of members come forward asking for another service, we are likely to consider it. We will usually look at what members want. However, it's got to be several members, not just the few, unfortunately.

We aren't fans of Discord ourselves. In fact, we're pretty pissed off with the company, but our members use it a lot. That is really the only reason we still use Discord. I can't blame you for not liking it. As with any suggestion, if enough members support it, then we are more likely to look into whether or not it can be implemented.
