DarkArch vs Kali #1
Now it goes without saying that DarkArch has the market on toolsets, but many people in pentesting have chosen and stuck with Kali.
Why you may ask, well it is simple, Kali is simple, easy to use and prides itself on being simple and easy and making pentesting and reporting a cakewalk.
But this opinion isn't just mine, it is held by many professionals and hobbyist throughout the internet, but here I am asking you, my fellow SL users, which do you prefer and why. Don't be shy list off those details, give us pros and cons, let us all know who the truly better OS is and why.

RE: DarkArch vs Kali #2
Kali Linux because we've made it familiar, and it's easy to use. I could lookup ANYTHING for Kali, except DarkArch isn't widely accepted therefore I don't use it.
Aswell as this, Dark Arch doesn't come with much anti-forensics or anonymity features.

I dunno about this DarkArch stuff...
I may be wrong, but I think BlackArch has MORE tools than Kali. But, they both suck.

On Kali, you'll normally use 10-40 of the tools they added in. No need for 1000+

Best is installing Arch or Debian, and adding the Kali or Darkarch repositories. Then you can install what you need, without bloat.

For laptop/desktop use, Arch > Debian (IMO)

I'm just going to assume you guys meant BlackArch and not DarkArch for the remainder of this post.

https://blackarch.org/tools.html
BlackArch has 125 forensic tools, four are anti-forensic, kali has less forensic tools, and also has less than 8 anti-forensic tools.
BlackArch has 11 anonymous tools, I couldn't find anything for kali, not to mention tor doesn't come installed nor does anonsurf.

This is mostly because Arch is more stable for a desktop. Personally, I'm a fan of Debian mainly because I've used it for a while and because Arch is a pain in the dick to setup correctly and always leaves be bashing my face against a cinderblock.

Note, Kali is debian, DarkArch is for arch. There's no mixing and matching people. Also it should be noted that Kali isn't meant for desktop/regular usage. It's a tool, and their website clearly has stated that in the past. Furthermore, I'd like to know why you think they both suck. They both get the job done and they both have a plethora of tools. Debian and Arch both work great for desktop setups but Arch definitely wins. As I said, Kali is NOT meant to be a desktop setup, just a toolbox.

Overall, if you don't mind the "nuances" of setting up Arch, go with BlackArch. If you enjoy debian, try ParotOS. Just set mine up without ANY issues and it's been running A-okay so far. Pretty displays as well. More useful IMO than Kali AND includes anonymous tools with install.

@DarkMuse "no mixing and matching"

What? I meant add Kali repos for Debian, and Blackarch repos for Arch.

I'm going to go with Kali. It's just easily installed/configured. I'm sure it really all comes down to preference tho. Arch is nice once to get the hang of Linux in general.

It's more like comparing Arch and Debian, if we're focused on the actual OS.

Yeah, I wouldn't choose Arch because of the updates every now and then, one update can mess up the system beyond repair. While Kali is stable.
