Ordered a bag from Mulberry for just under £800.
I was planning on doing a DNA for it and if all else fails, a chargeback (never had to do a chargeback before)

Anyway, DPD delivered it this morning, didn’t even ring the bell or knock, just left it in my porch. I was home at the time.

Will this work in my favour as he has marked it as ‘signed by SURNAME’ and hadn’t marked it as left safe. I was not present when the parcel was left in my porch… well, I was, I was upstairs, but he didn’t even attempt knocking.

My only issue is, will DPD look back on previous deliveries and see the same photo of my porch?

For this photo he has taken the photo of it left right at the ‘outside’ door, on the inside doormat, normally delivery drivers take a photo of it right by the inside door - into the house.

Can I dispute this?

I do also have footage from my camera showing him walking in the garden and straight for the porch without knocking and opening the door. But I don’t want to mention this as I wanted to try and say that wasn’t my porch. But this is where I worry DPD could look back on older deliveries.

Normally when I get higher valued items, there’s a note on the email saying “can not be left safe” so I’m baffled as to why DPD has done this, although it can potentially work in my favour.

Appreciate any advice!
Thank you

I think sharing the footage with dpd will get the driver fired first of all

Good material for a DNA, however I would keep that camera footage away at the moment as it may lead to consequences for the driver and make your DNA fail because if you have footage of the driver leaving the box wt the door, don’t you also have footage of a random person picking it up and bringing it away? I don’t know if that’s clear

What I would consider in this case is when did you do your last DNA with DPD , and if your account is in good standing

I did think that too! Re. having footage of someone else taking the parcel and I don’t really want to blame the delivery driver, if possible.

I have checked back on older DPD deliveries and you can tell it’s the same porch.

But do you think there’s grounds to go on because it wasn’t signed for, and instead of him using the “was left safe” option he’s just said that I have signed for it, with photo of parcel in porch.

Mulberry replied to my email saying “I can see it was delivered to you yesterday, hope everything is okay” etc.

So they have disregarded where I have stated I did not sign for it… I did end the email by asking if they could tell me where it was delivered, to seem a bit more reputable. But they didn’t respond to anything at all really.

My mulberry account is in good order, no SEs on there at all and never had and DPD investigations for any other company either.

This was their email:

“I hope you are safe and well today, I have tried to give you a call but I was unable to reach you.

It looks like your order was successfully delivered to you yesterday so we hope you love it.

Please let me know if you have any issues at all with your item.

How shall I respond? Shall I say again, it was not delivered to me?
