Friend of mine managed to order from amazon, claim DNA and a PR wasn't even needed, but that was a month ago and I can confirm it won't work as easily now

Another approach Is to purchase the Item from any company that stocks It, take note of the serial number, and return It for a legit refund a few weeks later.

It allows you time to SE DJI while the serial Is not In use/activated.

Yeah ofc but i dont want to buy it before
Understood, but you'll still get your money back.

The POP can easily be faked, but for the smoke thing, you can tell them you won't attempt to turn it on again as you're afraid it might catch on fire
Or use the corrupted file method

Give them a proof of purchase and they reply with "Thanks a lot for your patience of waiting. We have already forwarded all of your information and our team will contact you within 2 business days to get the issue resolved. Please pay attention to any messages you receive from us."

I'll keep you in touch
@futterbuckz some news from your side?

Hopefully they don't cross-check the POP's authenticity.

We shall await updates.

In my experience, DJI's customer service is quite good. I bought a brand new drone a few months ago and crashed it just two days later. It completely stopped working and was damaged (cosmetically and physically). I was gutted because it was just a few days old. I hadn't even had a chance to use it properly yet. Anyway, I contacted DJI whom asked me for images of the drone and then sent me a UPS label to send the drone back to their repair centre in the Netherlands. They asked not to send back anything else apart from the drone, i.e. no batteries, cables, remote, etc.

2 days later, they sent me a quote of €95 and sent me my drone back. I was expecting to receive the same drone that I'd sent them but just patched up. Instead, they sent me a brand new, sealed drone as a replacement. They didn't even tell me they were sending me a brand new drone. I wasn't expecting it either because I checked their repair/replacement fee guide and knew I'd have to pay a lot more for a brand new replacement and plus, I wasn't offered it either. Obviously I was really chuffed with the outcome though.

They even threw in a complimentary pen and apologised for taking so long.. it took just under a week. xD

Oh I’m sure their service is excellent to actual, legit customers Wink

Can vouch for DJI's support, I crashed my drone (well, it crashed itself) while having it follow my car through the woods
It hit a branch and fell, cause the auto-avoid system didn't engage
Sent them the drone, got a replacement completely free since it was a software fault
