Currys (UK) DNA 11-16-2023, 11:08 PM
#1
Hi,
I ordered an iPhone 15 from Currys via PayPal. The package was left outside without a signature. I spoke to Curry's Live Chat who mentioned that the parcel was lost in transit, and to wait 7-14 days for an outcome. Should I sit tight or start a PayPal dispute and provide the live chat transcript?
Thanks

Can you get a explicit confirmation on that Lost In Transit (email) or was it just a suggestion of the Live Chat?
Is it an aged account?
At day 7 I would contact them again, frustrated. Tell them you asked neighbours, Soft push story.
They might offer a replacement, which you can later return? I'm not familiar with Currys.
If they don't budge, you wait another 7 days as they say.. Co-operate with them, but let your frustrations be heard too.
It is in your interest to not let your PP get ouf of hand, save it for when they stonewall you.

No signature on left outside? What does the picture look like?
I saw a similar story with currys and they were good to go but in some cases they will straight up not give a shit about you.
Don't start a PayPal claim yet they have not even denied you I would wait for the investigation to finish and then some.
then move on to PayPal but that's my opinion

Don't start the claim on pp just yet as mentioned above. Wait for the investigation. And if you do, you can't claim dna anyway as curry's will simply provide the tracking and pp will side in curry's favour.

Had this with Apple watch, did EB for it, they said exact same thing "Its Lost in Transit, please wait for outcome" they then came back and said it was successfully delivered blah blah, they refused to give me refund, I did a chargeback, they responded, I responded back and bank closed it in my favour, think I got lucky?
Currys are a pain in the ass, I remember speaking to one of their reps over the phone who was handling my case and I just kept going around in circles.
I am but a simple gnome who likes free things, none of this is real. It is all simply fiction.

I had some success with them in the past. Hit an Xbox with EB (same day refund after investigation). Did another order, fresh account, card, address and everything - they declined and had to chargeback (successful).

Yeah Curry’s are Scum
They would deny even if you have a video of the driver walking away with the parcel and setting fire to it.
Good timeline advice been given above so follow that and fire when ready.
Hope the item is at least several K for a PP dispute
Good luck as curry’s deserve the hit
