It's probably not the best Idea to do this on a Friday- quite difficult to calculate sublimation during storage.

For cost of freight (weight or volume whichever Is the greater) and record keeping purposes, carriers take weights & dimensions of all packages at their depot. As such, when using dry Ice, It's best to have the package delivered to Its destination as quick as possible. This will minimize Inconsistencies In weight from dispatch, to the depot and to the receiver.

Interesting. I thought exactly this too as it's most logical. However from my research I found a vast amount of people on other forums saying to do the weekend method. Perhaps they do this deliberately to mask their own methods.

The only concern is if its too heavy and has too much dry ice, and gets delivered to the return warehouse in such a time frame that the dry ice hasn't all sublimated... That wouldn't be ideal.

We want to minimize time between pick-up and the depot weighing it, to ensure the package seems legit, but maximize the time from depot to being received, to ensure the dry ice will completely sublimate, no? By the time it gets to receiver, the goal is for all the ice to be completely sublimated.
So best would be Thursday? Hope they weigh the parcel same day after the courier driver's run, and then give it time during the weekend to sublimate completely. This will also ensure that at worst, it will be weighed on Friday instead of on Monday. (Assuming courier will not do anything with the package on weekend)
Unfortunately, I have to retire from SE.

In terms of not opting for the weekend, this Is what my post Is referring to.

Basically, any day of the week that allows enough delivery time for the dry Ice to sublimate.
