I think that mothered meant when the delivery guy calls you, u come to that address.
In my country there is a company which provides a virtual address and then re-ship to you for a low value.
Verify if you have something like that in your country.

Yes, and try to make the thing where they will leave it outside the door, or order to an amazon locker depending on where you are
