Costco Refund method(s)? #1
I'm planning on refunding costco for a computer approximately 2000$Cad and was wondering what would be the best method? I assume DNA or fake signature DNA as it will most likely require a signature, i've been seeing that there's a different method for costco if anyone can offer insight it'd be greatly appreciated!

This Is obviously a high-cost Item, so you'll need to be spot-on with the method.

Given the cost, I'd say they'll certainly require a signature on receipt. If you're not home to accept It, where Is the drop location?

@mothered I plan on being home to accept the package or have someone do it for me however, I will be telling them to give a fake signature on receiving the package I was told by a peer that with costco the method involves me receiving a replacement then sending the replacement back for a refund and i'm wondering what method he is using as he won't share it :/

Just so we're on the same page, I assume this Is the process:

* The fake signature Is for the purpose of the "didn't arrive" method.
* As such, they'll send the replacement.
* You'll send the replacement back for a refund.
* End result- you've been refunded and SEd a free PC.

@mothered Correct! Just wondering if this is more efficient than an empty box method? I feel as if costco won't refund/ repalce me because there has been a signature at the given location or will they still go forward with an investigation then replacement?

Yes much more efficient than empty box method. I personally try to stay away from using that unless I have to.
You can SE the PC by saying that the ram and gpu is broken. If they ask for proof, just put in a broken GPU /RAM. I highly doubt that they'll check SN, but if they don't then you got free RAM and GPU which are one of the more expensive items in a PC

Im planning on refunding a pc from them if possible and so will they refund me or replace me if I do a fake signature and say it did not arrive or, would this not work bc there was a signature at the location?

@"GosuSang" has nailed It with his response.

One way of working around the signature on receipt of goods, Is to make sure It's signed (fake signature) at the "external" of the property- namely as close to the sidewalk as possible. You can then claim you weren't the person who signed It, but more so some passerby who accepted delivery. This Is on the grounds they do not request Identification.

The method of getting to sign outside of property is quite interesting.
If the mailman recognizes you - the owner of the house- as the person who signed for it, then the plan is ruined.
This is of course under the assumption that the mailman doesn't forget your face.

That's why another person (friend or otherwise) signs for the package, hence solidifies a passerby accepting delivery.

Also, the mailman's memory would have to be pretty good to remember when the package was signed, and by whom.
You've made a good point though.
