I'm not sure I'd agree. Other viruses have had similar outbreaks. As far as reports and research from China have shown, the spreading has not gone out of control beyond the primary outbreak. The rates of new cases aren't spiralling out of control, and about 80% of new infections are occuring in hubei (the outbreak epicenter) with very few cases in other countries. Most Western countries appear relatively safe, with just a handful of cases appearing. Please also remember, the fatality rates are only about 0.2% for under 40s. Unless you're elderly or have some serious preexisting health conditions, you're likely to recover within a week or two without any complications.

I think media has blown this virus out of proportion. It's something to worry about, but not if you avoid travelling to affected regions and just wash your hands

The Infection rate Is declining, but that's due to self-Isolation/quarantine. People may be Infected (without their knowledge) whilst Isolated and the moment the government deems It safe to go outdoors, the virus could well and truly escalate.

No kidding. What would have helped was some screening at borders. I had assumed that was happening everywhere. Couldn't have been more wrong. Very disappointed about this. Here's to hoping each country flattens the curve soon.

I believe It's being managed quite well In various countries.

Once the lockdown restrictions are lifted and things get back to normal, only then will we see whether the virus will be under control, or begin to spread.

All the doctors I'm aquainted with predict that this virus will never leave us, they say that it's already with us, the only option to get rid of it is to get infected. These outbreaks will repeat until the vaccination appear. That's why coronavirus is more about politics, not health problems, considering the fact that 90% of people infected have it without any symptoms. Think of it.
