Connection problems with Back track5

If any1 could help me i would appreciate it. Anyway im having a problem with connecting my lapotop ( back track instaled on it ) to my wireless network, whenever i try to connect , it says that it can not obitain ip adress. I ve tried to find solution on google but it didnt help. Any1 maby know what is the problem ?

If u use BT5 so follow this procedure.......

Application >>> Internet >>>> Wiced Network Manager >>> Here u see ur wi-fi name >>>> Click Enter password and Connect

if u r using wireless card so follow my write thread.........

Check out ur wlan0 interface open or not by this command...

iwconfig

and if it down then for up run command...

ifconfig wlan0 up

and after check interface UP or not by,,,,

ifconfig wlan0

I think it's work for u.

i managed to make my connection work while there is no protection on it. But when there is it says again that it cant obitan ip.... i followed ur post for Settings Up Wireless Cards for access WEP & WPA in BackTrack 5 but it doesnt seem to work.. u have any idea ?

i checked my interface...it says its up but still cant connect

Call to service Centre say for check ad-hoc and check OS again.
