Do you mean like an application on TI-84 calculator? We used to add all sorts of applications, but nothing that was blatantly cheating.

Well, calculators aren't usually considered cheating anymore. Even during tests. I would just roll with it. If your teacher/professor says something about it, just tell them a white lie about how you didn't know using a calculator was cheating.

As someone who is apart of the Calculator Modding community, I would say it really depends on what you are doing. If you are using a school approved calculator and there isn't any (stated) restrictions on what you can have on your calculator, then it isn't technically cheating. TI has been real assholes lately when it comes to apps and even removed support for them completely a few months ago. Exam mode is a thing but there have been exploits to bypass it and most teachers don't turn it on anyways. I have skated by math class this year pretty easy using a notes app on my TI-84.
Use this rule of thumb: its only cheating if you get caught
The body exists only to verify one's own existence.

Best way I came up with to cheat in college:
Get one or two of those fat rubber bands, different colors is best if you need more than one, stretch them over a textbook or something, write cheat notes on them with the finest point pen you can get.
Wear them on your wrist for the test. Stretch them out to see your secret notes.
PROFIT.
