For me I like emailing personally. Obviously calling is the more preferable option but with email you can fix your mistakes and change shit. if your put on the spot on the phone its sometimes harder to get out of a jam. Just my opinion

If your starting out then of course email is the best way to go. But I've been doing it for about 3 years now and know how to get out of sticky situations.
