They want you to return the headset, and only the headset, you could ideally box Them and ask for AR. Not sure if they Bill when u box Them.

Currently they are under the impression I have had to destroy it for health and safety, I'm just wondering when they ask for the invoice if I'm safe to say it's a gift or do they only keep the warranty for the original owner?

RE: Bose Headphones Question #4
They usually do not ask for a receipt/invoice. As long you have a valid serial number its usually enough. However I cant guarantee that they wont ask at some point. Ive done quite a bunch from Bose and have never been asked for any PoP.

Ah good so I'll stick to I bought them and not say they were a gift. I have a valid serial and screenshot taken from a phone showing the serial while they were connected wireless to it.

Asking the obvious, Is the serial still under warranty?

I believe so, I registered it and know the date of manufacture is July 2018. According to Bose themselves
"The warranty is valid from the date of retail
purchase for a period of 2 years and a period of 5 years for passive, non-powered
loudspeakers."

Does this actually cover the "Bose headphones?".

It does I reckon, they're just saying for non-powered loud speakers the warranty is for 5 years instead of 2 judging from the wording. I'm reading from https://assets.bose.com/content/dam/Bose...NTY_EN.pdf

Upon reading their warranty via your link, It does cover your Item.

You're good to go with the SE.
