Big Problem with Amaz0n Refunds 05-08-2023, 07:13 PM
#1
Hi, like others on this forum I have also experienced the problem with customer support saying that they can't refund anything over 265 Euros before 30 days have passed, I am not even sure how this is legal since by law you have to be refunded in 14 days after the package arrives.
This seems to be happening with all refunds, including totally legit ones and from people who don't use any social engineering: mydealz.de/diskussion/amazon-erstattungen-angeblich-erst-nach-30-tagen-bei-uber-150-euro-wert-wenn-rucksendung-nicht-durch-lager-verbucht-2027320
Back in the day I never ever had such problems with refunding expensive monitors or anything... Not sure if this Europe only.

They changed it up from 14 days to 30 days last year because they have been hit a lot since 2019.
If the return is legit you will be refunded before 30 days for sure cause it will be processed.

I have done some, 6+, legit returns lately. Only two of them have actually been marked as received by Amazon. On account without any SE-s.
Currently waiting to get refund for item in value over €1.8k. Returned it over a month ago.
Actually frustrating that if there's problem with receiving item then I would have to move mountains to get items or refund. The same thing is when they have problem with receiving.
Either way I'm without money for over a month.

I refused an item from Amazon.de because of getting OFM account closed after it got dispatched, and after waiting for 14 days I didn't receive any refund, so I just did a chargeback, because the return center is rubbish. For legit returns problems could be because of the workers they fired.
I don't believe in what I say. Everything is just fictional and made for a good laugh.
I don't answer PM.

Yes, amazon is not an option anymore, atleast when comes to FTID and more expensive items. Like a guy above said, they recently changed the waiting time for a refund to 30 days and sometimes even after these 30 days you have to remind them. After one FTID their ofm department sends you a warning email.

Cant they rebill you?
They send me an email some days after the chargeback process started talking about giving my card credentials if this chargeback is a mistake or just write them a reason why I did the chargeback, but after emailing the reason, they just open my account for the second time to make the return, which was nonsense because I refused the item and it should been already delivered to their return center. I used VCC for that purchase, so after getting the money from chargeback I would transfer to my other bank account and close that VCC. So the short answer is no if you have VCC and no money that they can rebill you.
