Benq Help #1
I'm trying to SE Benq using a serial number, its purchase date and an Invoice from a portuguese store I made myself, they believed everything so far it seems, the problem is, they insist that the monitor catching on fire is very abnormal and they need to pick it up to check it out, I told them I disposed it because they took too long to reply, which is true, they take ages, anyway, any tips? @mothered

maybe say that you read on the topic groups that it is possible and, apart from the fact that they were responding for a long time, the situation took place when your little daughter was using it and you are not going to expose her health to anything and it is enough that she is scared. Just an example but better wait for Mothered tips. Btw. How long did it take to get respond from them after 1st email? Iam currently waiting 2 days.

We exchanged a few emails at best and I contacted them like tuesday, thanks for the tips tho Smile

Update: Got told they are reviewing it internally and that soon I'll know if I get the monitor!

What did the conversation Involve?

Quote:they insist that the monitor catching on fire is very abnormal
It may be abnormal, but It's certainly a possibility - just as this user experienced with an Acer monitor.

What was their exact reply?

It involved the usual, they asked for pics, I said I did not have them, after that they asked for my invoice which I gave them, then they asked for pics again, now they're reviewing it.

Their response (rough translation): "Since you told us you don't have the monitor with you anymore and we can't pick it up we will review it internally and we'll get back tou you as soon as possible."

Pics are easily Photoshopped, so It's not an Issue with any company that requests It.

In terms of the Invoice, hopefully they don't cross-check It.

The upside Is they're not adamant on requesting the return, yet.

As usual, please keep us updated.

Well, I picked a portuguese store to make sure they would not cross check it, we never know what can happen tho.
As usual i'll keep you updated.

It's certainly more difficult to authenticate the Invoice.

We shall await their reply.

UPDATE: I think this is positive, they asked me if I have any of the monitor's accessories, example: the box, its cables, etc...
What should I tell them?

UPDATE 2: Told them the cables were ruined by the fire and that I ditched the box because I moved out recently, I did say I still have the original remote, i believe that adding that fact might make it more believable and I can probably easily get some pics if needed.
