Batch based, inventory software #1
Hi everyone, I am currently making this simple batch based inventory software for my work, its mostly just for me, partially for ease of finding things and also partially because it will help with my batch knowledge, I have this very loose concept of just showing a top-down view of the warehouse and when I type in the name of something I'm looking for it just sends a whole separate room that has X's in the spot that the items are, I wanted to see what other people could figure out as far as making this simpler to expand and work, currently I have to make a whole separate room for each Item and that will take a long time, I would like to just have some kind of coordinate system, but I am not super knowledgeable on any of this, here is the code, feel free to test it, share it, whatever, I appreciate the help
Here's the code

Batch is almost the worst language you could choose to do something like this. It's going to be messy and hard to maintain. Pick a language that was at least partly designed to be used as an applications language. If you need the application to be in plain text for some reason use VBS, it's still a horrible option, but will be loads better than Batch. If you can choose any language and want something simple, use Lua, Go, or C. If you need any help, HMU.

Yeah, I realize its not a first choice, but once it was coded there was litterally no setup, and I partially decided on it to give myself a challenge.

Interesting batch file. Also, where did you learn your batch language programming?

I didn't really learn it all at one place, it been just here and there pieced together, why, does it seem very unorganized?
