how to run backtrack 5 RE2 32 bit in windows xp

Couldn't you run it off a flash drive when you boot your computer?
To hack is a skill, but a skill may or may not be to hack.

i didn't run it from a flash disk, i run it from an image file mounted, so it's treated as if it was a DVD. i'm using virtual CD to mount the image...

but, i didn't find any autorun or something like setup.exe file, does it gonna work?

The Latter is called 'Live USB' i.e. portable OS :
Follow This : www.backtrack-linux.org/tutorials/usb-live-install/
- Its simple just get Ubnetin > use second option to mount ISO to FDD > It will do its job in about 10 mins .
- Then : turn your PC off > Restart > Press [delete] or any other key so that you jump in CMOS settings >
Change boot devices To FDD(Flash Disk Drive) USB device > Save Settings .
- Plug in Your LIVE USB > Pop will use appear > Choose BT default > It would load kernel > in about 7 mins you are in BT5 R2
- Terminal will pop up > Type > startx > You are in Interface > Viola !
On the whole you do not even give a jerk to HDD . The concept moves around USB ;
Even you can make Live CD : but it would take hours to load kernel file
. which is pointless .

but, does it installed on the computer? or does it everytime we have to start the backtrack through live USB?

No its just on USB Drive . And I like it . Its Handy to use without effecting your main system .
The above posted thing seems hard to do But its just a matter of five mins to make LIVE USB unless you have ISO on HardDisk

Live USB and live CD sucks. I just burned it to a cd and installed side by side with windows 7
So you just choose what you want to boot in when you start your computer.
