Couldn't you run it off a flash drive when you boot your computer?

i didn't run it from a flash disk, i run it from an image file mounted, so it's treated as if it was a DVD. i'm using virtual CD to mount the image...

but, i didn't find any autorun or something like setup.exe file, does it gonna work?

but, does it installed on the computer? or does it everytime we have to start the backtrack through live USB?

Live USB and live CD sucks. I just burned it to a cd and installed side by side with windows 7
So you just choose what you want to boot in when you start your computer.

i have an installation error at phase 4, it said something like: "the root file has not been specified on the partition menu" or something... i boot the iso through HDD
