Amazon know all the information the police told me but they only care about a valid crime number even though the associate told me I would get a refund. They don't care about all the facts and proof I have.
Tell the thickheads at Amazon to speak directly with the police.

They can In fact get In contact with them - that's how they verify PRs, so don't allow them to tell you otherwise.

Yeah, I agree. I'm going to keep pressuring them. will reply when things unfold

Good.

Because they're not using any common sense, they're needlessly complicating matters.

I've also got a few DNAs planned I normally lock my front door and leave my exterior door open so that delivery people can leave parcels there safely. Should I lock the exterior door so the delivery guy is forced to leave it in the open making my claim more believeable? Thanks alot in advance.

Where exactly Is the package placed when there's access to the exterior door?

It could go either way:
1. The package left exposed for anyone to come along and steal It.
2. The driver refusing to drop It off due to not having access to leave It In a (more) secure spot.

So they normally leave the package just on the welcome mat but It’s all been made new recently so when they take pictures they can tell it’s clearly my house due to having artwork etc

1. Good point but I have my grandparents who live near so they can easily secure the package for me

2.If I update the delivery instructions to leave the package near a plant or hidden location. Would that make me liable for lost deliveries?

Thanks for the advice, I think I’m overthinking it as all the DNAs I’ve done go swiftly

In what sense can they secure the package?

Correct.

If you provide delivery Instructions, you'll be held responsible for the missing/lost package.

You just want to ensure the SE runs smoothly with minimal complications, which Is very good practice.

If the package is left outside and i'm at work I can ring them to pick it up as it's literally a few seconds walk for them

I Just got the refund for the watch!

The guy said ''Due to limitations on the Police Report we can Issue you the refund'' the refund confirmation email said ''First and foremost thank you for being a valued member of Prime Amazon'' But I don't even have Prime. Haven't used it for months. Just a bot email.

The key is to be persistent, in their heads you're a customer who has just been robbed of a valuable item, so just stick to your story and you should be good, show them respect, but obviously show a bit of annoyance. Thanks again @mothered
