Yes, they do but it does not really make sense as I told them the package was not damaged as well as the seals. I also provided the pictures of the package itself as well as of the box with the SN.

I'll talk to them tomorrow and see if they'll go ahead without me needing to file a report but I doubt it.

The EB doesn't warrant a PR, but their brain-dead representatives fail to use logic and common sense.

Given It's not a theft-related Incident, It's likely the police will refuse to provide the report so If It's the case, forward that Information to the rep.

Just talked to another rep but to no avail. They insist on the PR. I'm not sure I feel comfortable about that as there would be a file with the SN and everything and if Apple wanted to, they could prove the fraud quite easily. What do you think? Big concern or not? Most likely Apple won't do anything at all but are there any cases where they did?

You're overthinking It.

The serial number method has been used countless times with Apple, and I've yet to experience or hear of further action taken by them or the police.

You’re probably right but I don’t want to get the police involved. I will just count this SE as failed.

However, I might try the same with Amazon. Last EB I did with them was end of last year. I’ll do another order with them and then go ahead and try.

Thank you everybody for your help. If you have any advice or suggestions I’m all ears.

That's perfectly understandable.

It's more than enough time to safely hit another SE.

Okay, so I went ahead with the SE with Amazon. Unfortunately, I have bad news. I told them about my issue via live chat and only a few minutes later I got their decision via email in which they say, that they can confirm that the parcel and its content could be delivered to me. A few minutes after that, I also got an email with an warning which says that they won't reimburse me for any orders anymore and will close my account if the problem persists. I then opened up another chat and told them that it seems like they misunderstood me and that only the watchface itself was missing but the box was inside. Same answer unfortunately. They are asking for a police report to proceed.

Now I'm wondering if I could even send it back after that warning mail I got. Not quite sure why anyways because my last SE was LIT in March/April and I have had a few orders since then (I did legitimately send some stuff back though).

To proceed with what?

They've stated that you will not be reimbursed, so why do they require a PR?

You're right, that does not make sense. This is the email I got:

Code:
we have noticed that you have requested refunds for numerous orders because, according to your information, you did not receive the package. We know that occasional problems with orders are to be expected in the normal course of business. However, the unusually high number of lost shipments you reported exceeds this occasional expectation. When we see unusual account activity like this, we review each account on a case-by-case basis to determine if additional action or account closure is necessary. As a result, we can no longer compensate you for additional issues with your shipments. If this issue continues to occur, we may no longer be able to allow you to shop on Amazon . Closing your customer account will be accompanied by the following processes (if you have set up the appropriate accounts): - Closure of customer accounts at Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.com, Amazon.fr, Amazon.it, Amazon.es, Amazon.ca as well as at Audible.de (including audiobooks purchased there). - Deletion of your Amazon wishlist and other created lists as well as the My Account area and your customer profile - Reviews, discussion posts and customer pictures can no longer be edited (If explicitly requested by you in your feedback, these will be deleted or anonymized) - Cancellation of all subscriptions (Prime, Savings Subscription, Amazon Drive, Prime Video, etc.) - Access to content from Kindle, Prime Video, Amazon Drive, Cloud Player and Amazon Appstore is no longer possible - Amazon devices such as Echo, Kindle, Fire, Fire TV, Fire Phone are no longer usable or have limited usability - Deactivating your access to Author Central and the related author page - Closing your Kindle Direct Publishing account - Closing your Amazon.com Marketplace seller account - Closing your Amazon.com Affiliate Program account - Disabling the ability to pay through Amazon Pay - this applies to all websites that use Amazon Pay

And in the email a few minutes earlier to the one above, they wrote the following:

Code:
It is very important to us that our customers receive the items they purchase on Amazon. We value you as a customer and regret that [this item(s)] was not delivered to you. Lost items cause you hassle and cost Amazon a lot of money. Based on the results of our investigation, we believe the item was delivered to the correct address. Specifically, we have considered the following information from our records that shows the item was delivered: - Information gathered at the time of delivery, - the package weight, and the reported condition upon delivery. You may wish to contact your local law enforcement agencies to follow up on this matter. If the issue is not resolved after contacting local law enforcement and the delivery partner, please contact us during business hours at the appropriate police station with the police report number, a link to access the police report, or a PDF/image file of the police report. There are several ways to file a police report. Check with your local authorities for ways to file a report. In order for us to validate your police report, it must be in "Completed/Closed" status and include the following information: - The shipping address for this incident, - the items were delivered according to the delivery partner's tracking, - the report was generated for stolen items/theft/misdelivery or similar crimes, - The date the report was made. Please send the information by email to de-deliveryinvestigation@amazon.de. Send it from the email address associated with the Amazon account you used to place this order.
