Ok, I don't want to risk losing my money so would it still be possible to just do a legit return? I'm not sure if I want to keep pushing my claim, I'd rather get a full refund and try again with a different method using a different identity.

Understood, ultimately It's your call.

You can do exactly as stated - return It for a legit refund, reorder It on a totally different account (and sent to a different address), and use another method to SE them.
