My body rejected the needle for blood work I needed to do.
Threw up, blacked out, went into shock.

It rejected the needle? It's pretty common for that to happen. Your body just can't handle the sudden blood loss. When I needed blood work done and when I was admitted to a mental institution, I had that happen about 1/3 of the times.

Tell them to let you lay down, get a damp rag and put it over your eyes and possibly let you listen to music. Then squeeze your thumb. It can sometimes help.
