I'd imagine there's a linux distro of some kind that would run on it. It would help if you could identify the chip.

The question is which linux distro can run on it not if indeed a distro can run on it. He needs help, not confirmation.

Please. Dude.

Which is why I asked him to identify what kind of CPU it is. Hard to help without all the information.

I asked him that too, but it's evident that that information is something that he might not have.

Wait. A 512MB SSD? Did you mean 512GB? If you are correct about the 512MB, that's not a server, but a thin client. It was likely connected to a main server which hosted files and applications for it, similar to dumb terminals back in the 70's and 80's.

You heard me right, a 512 MB ssd. And yes that's true it is a thin client which was used to login on remote hosts.

I have confirmed that it is an X86 chip. I don't have a lot of information because it is a thin client and they are pretty difficult to open up. I will if I have a chance, but I'm trying to run any linux OS just so I can find all specifications.

Yes indeed, i'm trying to install any Linux OS so I can find out all specs, so I can share them here. I'm trying to add information as soon as I can. For now I know that it is an X86 chip. Also there are traces on the hard drive from Windows XP embedded. So that might run but I rather want to install a Linux OS in the system. Even an OS with only CLI would be fine.

Try Tinycore or Damn Small Linux. Those might run on the limited specs of the system.

I couldn't update the main post but I will do it here than :

I have officially confirmed what the type of pc is, and also which specs.

The specifications can be found here : http://gg.gg/409cn

Only difference is that I have a SSD of 512 mb instead of 4gb. Hope that this is enough information.
