I'm not mothered, but I would like to give my opinion on this.
You have 2 options.
-Change method
-SE a way to try and avoid having to give a signature, for example you could claim you have COVID-19. Or you could even pretend that your hands are bandaged. Or you could get oil all over your hands, and say you were just working on your bike.
If you go down the route of trying to avoid giving a signature, you must prepare for various scenarios beforehand, as a way to weigh up the pros and cons. For example, does the courier take a photograph as a 2nd resort, if the recipient is unable to give a signature? Are you willing to take the risk of having your address blacklisted?
Choosing to claim DNA after providing a signature could work, but it's significantly lowering the already not ideal success rate of DNA claims.
A fake signature would be better, however if Lenovo ask you to open a police report, you may be breaking yet another law in doing this.
Best of luck.

I've never tried DNA after fake sig so yea, not sure what the chances of success in this are, carrier is UPS, they love investigations at least from my experience about a decade ago (avoided carrier investigations for a decade so not sure how they are now but they were miserable before, at least to me)
UPS My choice greyed out all options leaving me with having to sign, I could maybe do missed package then stick the thing on the door and let them claim the paper with my sig? Once they collect the slip on door I believe they leave it or some of them do...the last time I signed one they ignored it
Police won't do anything about this, I can do the report, they'll act like they care, what I care about is the refund though of course

I wouldn't be so adamant about the Police report not being a problem- you only can open a limited amount without raising suspicion, so it's worth analysing whether it's worth using one up.
Sometimes they will leave the package, but it's like rolling a dice for 6 in my opinion. If I was in your situation, I'd choose an alternative method as a backup, and see if you can avoid signing for that package, to complete your initial DNA claim plan.

Just because you've signed, It doesn't necessarily mean It belongs to you - anyone could've signed for It, even the driver himself which I continue to experience quite often. Be sure the fake signature Is somewhat legible, hence the name will not correspond with yours, thereby It will Indicate that you were not associated with the delivery.

For example, "Catherine" to "Katherine". Then asking the courier for a photo of the signature given, and explaining to the rep that you think someone has tried to fraudulently sign for your package, but accidentally spelt your name wrong. It's a very good thought, however that "someone" who signed, Is (predominantly) Intended to be anyone unbeknownst to the social engineer (a passerby or otherwise), hence wouldn't know the SE'er by name.
