They are currently investigating where the laptop is.

Yes, It's looking good so far.

If they had reason to decline your claim, they would've done so by now, and not waste time & resources with their Investigation.

Tried Lenovo some months ago, they are harder now, thats for sure. I had a paper receipt that looked legit and even a police report. After they told me that the receipt was invalid they simply closed the case. I don't know how they validate their receipts but somehow they declined it. It was a really good photoshop job with a random closed down computer shop (not a real ofc).
