Anxiety and Depression 01-20-2014, 02:27 AM

So I would say I've been depressed for the past 3 years. Adding onto that, I also believe I have an anxiety disorder. As for the depression, I won't really go into that because I really have a little hope that something good will happen if I just keep going.
Now, my main concern is anxiety. I'm on an official news team for another site. I do what I need to do, but when it's the day that the proof reading occurs, I get all nervous when I know the person doing it is reading it and correcting my errors. I don't know, I just can't help it. I'm scared people are going to call me out when reading it and tell me I'm stupid, or just something along the lines. I can't help it and I'm not sure if there's a way to do so. I don't want to tell my parents either because I feel like I can't. I haven't even told them about my depression either, so obviously I won't say a thing about this.
Next, do you guys believe online tests really work? Should I just contact a doctor instead or continue to take these tests online, such as:

I took the test and scored a 89. What that meant according to the site was:

Quote:You are exhibiting anxiety symptoms and may have an anxiety disorder.
You should go for a medical evaluation. If your doctor diagnosis an anxiety disorder, you should seek experienced anxiety disorder help. Self-help materials can also provide information, help, and support.
