Amazon rep refusing refund #1
So I’m doing DNA with my roommate’s account with the same address but different name and card to my account which I’ve done an EB just 2 days ago (successfully ofc). The rep straight up told me that they can’t process the refund on my friend’s account as the button for refund is grey out. They insist on opening an investigation but I narrowly avoided it by making excuses and such.
The part I’m very worried is the grey out thing from their end.

Do you guys think that Amazon has linked both account and now refusing to offer a refund at this address?
Or did I just have a bad rep or something?

Prolly linked both accounts as its the same address, I would just bite the bullet and take the L on this one. I would definitely use a fresh acc+ drop next time you SE.
The body exists only to verify one's own existence.

You're performing the DNA "as your friend", so I don't see why the refund cannot be processed.

In terms of a "buyer's account", your friend Is allowed to legitimately use the same residential address under his/her name and payment system. Though, the email address must be separate to yours. "Seller accounts" are different- one account per household and you'd need prior approval from Amazon for further accounts.

What exactly did you say?

Everything is different except for address, and that account was older than mine so I think it should have worked flawlessly.
On the excuse, I just acted angry, told them it’s taking too long and don’t trust them and their bs process anymore.

In that case, they have no reason to Investigate matters purely based on the account.

If it's a high value item, most of the reps are not allowed (according to them) to issue the refund that's why they forward it to the relevant department.

Long story short, I got the refund instant by using EB method. Got the confirmation email that it was processed in an hour afterwards. It might be possible that DNA instant on amazon is getting harder whereas EB, they can’t really investigate if you insist that the box was sealed upon arrival

Well done.

I agree that I'll be difficult for them to Investigate when using the missing Item manufacturer error. It's just about Impossible to Identify If the Item was enclosed when received by their Inwards goods department, and the same when dispatched at a later stage.
