Umm just got delivered i tried to write a legible sign but i dont think i did the best i could...he did look at it and look confused as he left and i closed the door quickly

Disregard the driver's behaviour.

You can sign however you please - they are no laws stating a signature must be represented In a certain way.

Buttttt the package i received ....has been retaped with duct tape.... guess im gonna have to find out if it got tampered with while being delivered lol

In that case, the damaged package method Is very well suited.

So which route should i take?
1. dna that i didnt sign

2. Take pics of box and message them saying the box has been retaped and wrong item inside/missing item?

its a macbook so eventho it was kept elsewhere over night to get redlievered, would they have reweighed it and if the weight matches i lose the missing item case?

Either of the two methods are equally effective, so ultimately It's your choice.

The objective of the damaged package method, Is to say that the package was damaged when received and the Item was missing.

Packages do not get weighed at the time they're delivered to your address, hence It's virtually Impossible for the company to decline the claim based on the weight alone.

Oh sorry so basically I'm wondering when I say I received the item but it was missing from box, they wont be suspicious of the fake signature ? Since I received the item but signed it under a different name...

they might assume either someone else i know received it for me... or someone signed the box off and then left an empty box? or not sure what to claim happened if they question the signature name that differs from mine. is this even an issue?

Especially if they re-send a new one  I'd have to re-sign with the same fake name when it shows up? or since I want to double dip I could claim DNA with a new fake signature/name?

I forgot to mention, the "damage" is on the AMAZON box packaging, i still haven't opened that. I received the AMAZON shipping box.... with retaped duct tape on one opening which is very suspicious lol

So should I open from that side of the amazon package to see whats inside or open from the back side is what I meant?

I've already taken pictures and a video of it when it arrived from the duct taped side of the amazon box.  just haven't gotten around to getting into it to take the macbook box out

I just opened it from the other side...seems okay the macbook packaging has a very small rip in it where the pull tab is... but i read up on the damaged packaging method... question is how does that work in terms of the item... is it claimed its missing? or just damaged? won't they ask in this case to return the "damaged packaged item"?


and so adding to the previous stuff I mentioned. I just checked the tracking, and it actually states item was received by [fake name used for signature].... clean cut case?

Its been over a day now since stating delivered...is waiting an issue? should i have reached out ASAP?

but are there ways to bypass PR?

Tracking on UPS clearly shows item was received by someone other than me, shouldn't me stating that to Amzn chat be enough?

Or should I open a case with UPS instead? Like @mcpvperz did.... somehow BB didn't even ask him for PR ...... maybe if I opened an investigation before reaching out to amazn the second time (when they told me to wait 1 more day_ that woulda worked? but now theyve asked for one either
1. I go through with it and file the PR
or
2. file with UPS claim, reach back out to amzn that UPS claim has been opened and they rule in my favor based on that report?
