Amazon is really pissing me off... #1
Y'ello !

I really didn't feel like posting in forums about this s***t, but at this point I'm really fed up. Hopefully some refund gods will  clarify a few thinks for me.
Anyway, I've been refunding random cheap crap for years now.  (50$-300$ ) Fresh accounts, order something, wait a few days,  not received/empty box  blah blah blah... refund 100%.

But recently ( I'd say starting this year)  even refunding small S**t become a problem. And it's random too. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

Like for example, today I refunded a  60$ video game without a problem from one account. On another account I couldn't. Same method, but different results.

You go to chat, say item is not received, then instantly they transfer you to somebody else (like concern department or whatever)  which says that they need to open an investigation (yes even for cheap items) and wait 72 hrs. After 72 hrs they say I need to open a police report. And it goes down hill from there. It's like WTF! One time i can easily refund 200$ next day I can't even do 50$ What xactly can be the problem here?! Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Again like i said, this problem started in 2018. So i guess they possible tighten their policies a bit? Idk..

What happens when you use the same account (that's successfully performed the refund) with the same method?

What do you mean?

On one account I got a rep that successfully refunded me within 5 min. On the other account , the rep transfers me to another rep, which opens an investigation which essentially leads to a police report... I'm honestly failing to see the pattern.

When forums are overflowing with amazon SE advice, I'd be shocked to the core if Amazon didn't begin tightening their policies sometime...

Exactly what I've said.

I'm trying to establish If It Is In fact the "account" causing the Issue. The pattern (as It seems) Is obvious. One account successfully refunds, the other doesn't. Whether It be the maturity of the account (or lack of) , fresh account with no prior "legit" purchases that's causing the Issue, I cannot definitively conclude.

Again, what's the result when you use the same (successful) account?

Nothing.. I get the refund and that's it. I don't even try to do it twice in a row with the same account. If i try to refund something again for the second time. Same crap happens as with unsuccessful accounts. They open an investigation blah blah.

All accounts are the same. Pretty much the same age.

Do It a few times with same successful account, using a similar methodology that's previously worked and post the results.

You mean do another refund on the same account?? I tried doing that multiple times. 90% it's a fail...
