You need to be sure of the weights prior to proceeding with the SE, so do exactly that.

Yes, that's basically how the wrong Item received method works. Upon opening the box/package, a different Item was enclosed.

Put simply, you're not supposed to have the packaging of the wrong Item - It was sent to another address, hence It doesn't belong to you.

That makes sense.

I've identified a different item which is a similar weight and I'm going to buy it tomorrow.
I've bought the item I intend to SE, but it's not sold by Amazon. Will this matter?
hey man what camera did you end up going with to make the swap? was thinking about doing the exact same thing lol

How did this work out for you @Lupin??
Any updates

RE: Amazon Wrong Item #24
Sorry for not posting any updates, I have been very busy recently.

The SE was successful, but for anyone looking to use the missing item approach, don't trust the technical details on Amazon's product pages as they're completely wrong - conduct your own research.

I had a nightmare with Amazon's support team, I spoke to a representative about returning the wrong item and they arranged a home collection for the next day, I thought it was unusual that they didn't ask me for any photos of the wrong item but I proceeded as normal because I know that companies have procedures in place that some representatives can't be bothered to follow. It turned out that the representative who arranged the return registered it as if I was returning the correct item back to them despite me clarifying that I had received the wrong item repeatedly. I spoke to representatives over the phone and they wouldn't help me and kept hanging up on me, then I noticed I received an email from ofm@Amazon.co.uk stating that I've requested a high volume of refunds for missing items - I'm assuming this was sent incorrectly because this is my 2nd refund on this account over the past 7 years so I replied back documenting any orders I've had problems with to prove I hadn't requested a high volume of refunds and I sent a complaint regarding the customer service I received to a few different emails I could find on the internet. After I replied to the email from ofm@Amazon.co.uk my refund was processed.

Thank you @mothered for the articles you post on your website, they're very informative and have helped me a lot over the past few years.
