Amazon Wrong Item 11-03-2022, 02:19 PM
#1
I'm looking at using the wrong item method on Amazon, I'm using an aged Amazon account with a lot of orders varying in value, I've only performed 1 previous SE on this account back a while ago. I'm aware the weight of the products have to be similar, and I think I have identified two products that could work, but could someone this confirm for me?
- The weight of the product I intend to SE is listed at 1.61kg on Amazon. This item is sold and dispatched by Amazon.
- The weight of the product I intend to get delivered to a drop house using another account with every identifiable detail changed is listed at 1.62kg on Amazon. This item is sold by a different vendor, but dispatched by Amazon.
I'm
comparing package weight instead of item weight, is this right? Also, will I encounter any problems with buying the item I intend to send back isn't sold by Amazon, only dispatched.

Correct.

It's deducted from Amazon's Inventory upon purchase, so It's fine.
What's the Item description?

Thank you for clarifying.
The item I intend to SE is a mirrorless camera with an included lens, and the item I intend to return is a DSLR camera with an included lens - I believe this will be fine as they're both cameras. My only concern now is whether or not the lenses will come in separate packages to the camera bodys, although I don't think they will because the package weight includes the weight of the camera, lenses etc.
@
mothered I've sent you a message with the items I intend to use as I'm unable to link them to the thread for some reason.

I'm also SEing Amazon for a mirror less camera soon. It arrives Monday. It's about $3000 and I'm just going to say the original box arrived but the camera and lens components were missing. And make up a huge sob story

I don't believe this approach would work because of the weight of the items.

Potentially. I don't know that it'll be an issue. You getting the gh6?
