RE: Amazon UK - SE an Ipad help #21
So i got the ipad and the other item i ordered( a toy) the ipad on the shipping label says 0.7kg and the toy says 0.9kg. this is due to the toy being a bigger size and needing a bigger box, will this complicate things?

edit: So chat said
" are you comfortable with a return "
"I can help you with a replacement for this item with the correct item"

i asked for a refund instead

agent said he created a refund on return, now i just wait on hermes picking up

Does this seem good?

Slight disaster. They're referring to a few years old account at this address. I got this email about 15 minutes after I returned the wrong item. Not sure what to do next

Is the old account registered with the same name?

Then I would appeal the decision, claim you have zero knowledge of any reason why your account should be closed. Was your bank account credited with the refunded money?

It doesn't mean It's associated to you - It may well belong to a household member, which Is perfectly fine.

Request your claim be escalated based on the above grounds.

Well any legit customer would be absolutely fuming if they had ordered an expensive item and then received something completely different. And then to be told their account has been terminated after they return the incorrect item?

I would make that your starting point and as mothered said, ask for your claim to be escalated.
