Has anyone successfully SE'd their way around this?

I have read mothered's blog and his example of possible circumvention. Just looking to see if anyone has managed to pull it off.

Thanks.

I've based my article on personal experience, of which I've successfully circumvented an OTP on a couple of occasions.

In a nutshell, It's not "what" you do, but "how" you do It that determines the outcome. Manipulation Is a very powerful tool when used effectively and accordingly.

RE: Amazon UK OTP #3
OK so I tried to bypass it today. It was quite funny actually, the guy gave me the package and then walked off. Just as I was closing the door he comes back and says "oh sorry I need a OTP". I gave a sort of confused look and said to him "oh right, how would I find that then, would it be on the app?". I pulled out my phone and scrolled through the amazon app, usually the OTP is displayed on the order page but as it had live tracking and he was right outside my house I knew it would have disappeared. Lucky me, (I thought). I feigned ignorance for a while longer and said I wasn't aware of any emails. He then told me he couldn't give me the package if I didn't have the password but he would call his manager and see what he could do. Off he goes and comes back a few moments later to inform me that I would have to contact amazon customer services on the phone and they would inform me of the OTP. I decided to call an end to it there and asked my girlfriend who was in the background (and knew exactly what I was trying to do) if she was aware of any emails. Sure enough she found the elusive email on her phone with the OTP and read it out for the driver. I'm sure it could work with some drivers but he even said to me he was new and I could see he was quite clearly trying to do everything by the book. Maybe if I had spoke to customer services on the phone in front of him he could have been tricked into handing it over but my instinct says it wouldn't have made a difference.

Regardless I got my refund anyway after I contacted the chat assistant complaining of receiving the wrong item. Sometimes it really is just too easy.

So you claimed wrong item & got refunded? Did they not want the item returned?

Will return a cheaper item I had already bought. (Weight difference of 20 grams).
