No ... but for small amounts I wouldn't worry ... in any case, be well informed before placing your order to increase your success rate ; )

The FTID Is a tracking-based method, hence can be used with just about any company who utilizes a tracking service.

Depending on the Item, there may be a better method than the FTID.
What Item are you planning to SE?

Go for FTID. IPhone 11 price range sounds about right for FTID.
On topic, I've noticed on Amazon returns labels there's one or two additional "barcodes" which I assume are used by the courier company to speed up the sorting process.
@
mothered, since you mentioned Amazon can scan these barcodes themselves to find out the original TID anyway regardless if you edit out the TID; would you recommend to completely remove these additional "barcodes"? (I put barcodes in brackets as they look similar to QR but aren't exactly a QR.
Would appreciate the advice.

What are those criteria for items? Naming the most popular methods,
< 100g -> empty box
big item -> DNA
rest -> FTID/DNA?

FTID (or really any method) isn't based off price point.
If they aren't used by the courier and specifically only by Amazon, then you should remove it. Be careful they aren't a maxi code or something as those are used by courier. (if you remove a label that the courier needs, they will reprint the label for you, presumably with all the original data)
Goal is to make it seem like the package is junk and not part of any return.

Unfortunately, I have to retire from SE.

Remove all Identifiable details from the company, leaving only the carrier's tracking number- that's all that Is required for the package to reach Its destination.
Do remember that the objective of the most effective FTID method, Is to show the tracking number as delivered, but the company has no record of the package.

It's an abbreviation for "Fake Tracking ID".
