Amazon SE Help #1
Hey guys. So I have an Amazon account with 3 SEs on it previously. Last SE was in October and I've done 25+ legit orders since. Last SE was only for 60 because I was new and didnt know any better. Now I received three packages today and I want to refund the most expensive. It cost 470. EB is not an option as it weighs 7+ pounds so I am aiming to do DNA. The other two items cost 150 and 7. How likely is a pr?

EDIT: Forgot to mention account is around 6-7 years old with Prime for 2-3.

How was the delivery accepted?

A signature, OTP or was It simply left at the doorstep?

It depends whether the package Is lost In transit, or If you're claiming It was stolen from your premises.

If It's the latter, a PR Is certainly warranted.

All three were left on my doorstep.  No signature nor OTP.  Although the deliveries were split up into the 470 and 7 packages and then the 150 package was delivered a few hours later.  Pictures were taken of both and both pictures show all three packages including the biggest package (the one I want to refund) being on my doorstep.

I would probably just say that I came home from work and only two out of three packages were on my doorstep.  Checked with neighbors, family and do not know what happened to it  etc.  Basically let the rep come to their own conclusion.

Also I had a question about live chat.  I heard that if I connect at 10AM indian time I would receive an Indian rep who would be more lenient?  Is this true?  I dont mind doing it as I would be awake during that time anyways.

Perfect DNA material so far.

Are there any Identifiable details In the photos that can conclusively deem It's your house?

Don't provide any more Information than what you have to- simply say you did not receive the package(s).

On the above grounds, theft will be assumed as the cause for non-receipt of goods, hence a PR Is more than likely to take place.

It depends on the caliber of the rep.

I've come across a handful that were extremely easy to SE and on the other hand, just as many who were adamant and did not budge.

Yes Unfortunately, my house is the only one on the street that has a specific color of doors and window shutters  that can be seen in the photos

So should I just say I did not receive the package and not even mention the other two?  They are right next to each other and each one is visible in the photos if that makes a difference?

Thanks for providing the above details- this helps me assess your circumstances, thereby provide Informed advice.

Here's what's most likely to take place. In their defense, they'll try and verify the delivery based on your home being conclusively Identified In the photos, however It's not the case at all. The vulnerability Is that the packages were left at your doorstep, hence you did not personally receive/accept them. As such, a passerby stole the one you're planning to SE.

Correct.

You're not supposed to know If and when they arrived (on the same consignment or otherwise), so just mention the one package.

Alright so if the rep tries to deny me on the basis that it is my house in the photos, I will tell them that I should have been personally given the packages and that the delivery driver didn't even knock/ring the doorbell.  If it comes to a pr, then ill just file one online.  Its not a huge deal, I would rather not get them involved or have police come to my house but oh well.  You have been very informative. Thank you for your help.  I'll update the thread after I talk to them in a couple days.

Don't go Into detail. Simply say that you haven't received your package.

If they respond with the photos as mentioned above, then they'll most likely tell you that It was left at your doorstep. You'd then say that you've checked but your package was not there. This Indicates a crime-related Incident, namely your package was stolen.

You can certainly do that.

Do remember that a PR Is part of company protocol to move forward with your claim.

In short and as with every SE, It's good practice to only provide details on request. There's no need to elaborate when there's no reason to do so.
All the best with the SE.
