I believe that if you ever tell them that a package was opened they will want you to file a police report. Standard procedure from what I've heard.

no. i have done like 15 refunds in past 2 months. i made 12/14 successfuly

I would suggest telling Amazon that you called your local police department and they said that there is basically 0 chance of them being able to help you find the package and they won't be able to help you in that case. That's the best I can think to do at this stage.
