I'd rather fraud Amazon, the multi-billion dollar company, than a smaller company that barely makes into the upper hundred thousands; it's not fair on either of the companies. While it is not fair on either company, the more preferred choice is Amazon, here is a couple reasons:
- People actually have hearts and don't want to SE smaller companies and make them lose money
- Due to these companies possibly being small, they will deal with more caution than Amazon, i.e. asking you for further proof or contacting the delivery services
- Amazon representatives, customer support and the refund/replacement department are generally obliged to process a refund or replacement, due to you being the customer; they also don't want to waste a lot of their time contacting third party services to confirm whether or not you received your package, all for a couple hundred bucks, when they make that in less than an hour

This is also true; Amazon are occasionally aware of you social engineering them(only on rare occasions when the representative actually has a functioning brain and has been SE'd before), but, they don't want to waste time for a couple hundred bucks as aforementioned; they also don't want to waste time.
I've skim-read the thread, I saw someone said FedEX show up at your door to confirm whether or not you received it? This is untrue, unless you ordered from a third party service that is strongly against refunding or replacing you. Amazon will most likely not waste their time, unless this order is in the upper thousands.
Other than this and that, these methods are great for beginners to help them start/learn. Good job, OP.
Wow. Fraud and morals.
Yes, think about it. You're committing fraud, you're most likely committing fraud(this is aimed at the smaller companies) because you like their product. Why not give them a break? Fraud might no go hand in hand with morals, but, it all depends on what you make of the situation and are thinking at the given time.

Don't try to justify these actions.

It's called making the best off of it. Weren't you the one who scammed someone on HF for $800? You really should just quit it.

Oh god, if you scammed $800 off HF, the hypocrisy is real here. I haven't SE'd in possibly a year or two, so what actions am I attempting to justify? I'm just clearing something up and explaining something to you, who seems knows nothing about this topic and is running his mouth. There is clearly no actions for me to justify..

Only use this method, if you know what you're doing. If you tell them you received a wrong item, they will most likely ask you to return that item. You don't want that, do you? So, how does this method work? Tell them you received an item that is not allowed or prohibited to be shipped by a carrier and accepted by Amazon. What are those? Dangerous, but realistic things.
Below is a list of items prohibited by Amazon.
Just a question with this method.
If Amazon Is prohibited from receiving (accepting) such Items, how can you pretend that Amazon has shipped the Item to you? If they cannot receive, they cannot ship and vice versa.

Yet it works, if performed correctly. Mistakes happen in the warehouses, how it got in the package is their concern, really.

Mistakes happen, but if you're scamming them, there really is no mistake. In fact, you're unmistakably scamming Amazon.
