How would you go about doing something like this
Given the CPU only weighs 50 grams, the missing Item method Is well-suited. Alternatively, the sealed box method will also suffice.

My only concern Is the box/packaging. Is It fully covered In cardboard, or can the CPU be viewed externally without opening the box?

The CPU can be viewed through :/ But ima put it in a box before shipping as I'm not planning on shipping only the box saying "Expensive CPU name" w the logo n shit for some DHL driver to snatch lol.

So I just ship it back, now the package isnt sealed as the sticker has been broken. But I can RMA it saying it didnt work properly to get a refund.
I can prolly attach something light to the box that will get ripped durin shipping to make up for the weight. Would that work u think?

Now, after they receive it n I call them up n they say it didnt arrive, I just hammer it home and say I sent it. They tell me to take my money, fuck off and never return right. Or will I have to go through a hurdle?
If you're planning to box them, the CPU Is light enough to not register a weight on consignment, hence you're good to go.

Due to the nature of the method and the events that (supposedly) take place, they may open an Investigation, so be prepared for It.

They probably will, but even in the event of an investigation. Will I get my money back before hand? Or is it like a really drawn out slow process of me denying all accusations to the customer support dude who doesnt really give a fuck but has to recite the script to keep his job xD then finally after months I get a refund and they close my amazon account. Ive returned a lot of items to them without problems in the past, but it got to a point where they sent me an email to quit buying stuff n returning Or Else(sent all products back etc so there were nps rly, just the notification to pay up or fuck off).

When the Investigation completes, that's when the claim will be finalized and a decision will be made whether to decline It, or Issue a refund/replacement.

Every claim Is assessed on a case-by-case basis, so It's difficult to determine Its duration and the events that take place.
