Amazon PR question #1
Hi, I tried to DNA an item of around 600$ on amazon but a pr was requested, I filed it but the thing is the police officer mentionned that she will come check with my neighbours if they have cameras or saw someone stole the package.

I filed the pr thinking they weren't going to do anything and wasn't expecting this.

How can I cancel the pr? do I call back tomorrow and just say something like : "I found my package, it was a friend who had it"?

do your neighbors have camera? I think that if she asks, it’s not no bother you and see if you’re lying, it’s just to check if we can see who stole the package

I don't know if they have camera and she didn't only asked, she said she will come check with them in a couple days

Here's a couple of options =

Plead ignorant and ask your neighbours before the police do or withdraw the report stating the package was found.

I would presume that most cameras would be visible, watch out for the doorbells with the camera though they are popular these days.

In any event, would you be seen collecting the package and taking it into your possession? This may not be worth the risk, only you can decide that.

You're most welcome, maybe others here will chime in and give you some further advice.

Look at it as less of a loss and more of a learning experience.

Should you be caught by a camera, wouldn't it be possible to just say you were bringing in a entirely different package that arrived the same day?
