Hmm, strange, I would just write to rep saying why I'm not getting a prepaid label I don't have money to send the return package or something along those lines. Or just change the address threw the address book to something different and then write to the rep, many options to get the prepaid label.

Can you give more detail here, obviously they will have the option to see notes from previous live chats but you are saying they are not readily available. How effective is calling at suppressing previous comms with the online chat ?

Every communication happens fast and In real time, hence the Influx of questions and concerns may not allow a thorough check of all logs. Emailing on the other hand, Is not an urgent response - they have all the time they need to refer to previous/current records.

They actually record all calls too (was previously given this insight by an insider), so if there is any level of scrutiny it is likely they will listen to the audio of previous calls. They do not make/save notes, at least not lower level CS agents; unless they need to escalate a case.

Don't know amazon's customer service policies but find it very unusual that the agents are not making at least brief notes about the call in their crm system. It is standard procedure for the customer service team of any large company and even more so if it is pertaining to a claim.

Usually companies listen to a random sample of calls per agent, so you would have to be unlucky that your call would be listened to or that it would be so suspect that they would manually look for it. I don't know what systems amazon is using for call quality montiring but would imagine they have some of the most advanved tools in use.
