currently trying to do amazon EB and being told i need to file a police report ? they are adamant about this but is there anyway to get around ?

Mostly PR is just needed to move on with the claim and that's just it.

Further to the above post, a PR Is only needed to continue assessing the claim, so there's no cause for concern.
Although It's not relevant to the EB/missing Item method, comply with their request and file It.

Ordered from another EU country, still had to file a PR
