Amazon Camera SE #1
I'm looking at a camera kit on Amazon UK. It costs around 500 GBP, and weighs a little over 1kg. It's dispatched and sold by Amazon. My account is a few years old and has less than 50 GBP in refunds on it. My account has no phone number associated with it, apart from what's on the postal information, but they've been asking for one on login. Not sure what that means for OTP.

With this in mind, what method would you recommend for SEing such an item?

On the purchase screen does it say OTP required or any of sorts. If not DNA will work.

If DNA isn't a possibility wrong item ordered or boxing with dry ice could be used.

Ultimately FTID can be used but there's a bit of a negative conetation to it.

I haven't bought it yet, and there's no mention of an OTP on the final purchase screen. Do you only find out after buying it?

Usually they ask for it at delivery, but you can pretty much make a fake signature

If you don't provide the OTP to the driver, he has every right to mark the consignment undelivered.

Hmm.

If the driver asks for OTP, should I just feign ignorance, or say it's been sent to an email address I no longer have the password to? If I'm not mistaken, refusing delivery would result in a refund, which is more straightforward than accepting it and later returning it for lack of SE options.

edit: I should add, I'm now looking at a camera kit that is nearly twice the price, also sold and dispatched by Amazon.

You can use that approach, but you'd need to heavily manipulate the driver to hand over the package without the OTP.

Correct.

I ended up going for something in the 500 GBP range, which arrived without an OTP or even signature.

I discovered a compatible lens that weighs 69g. Would it be overkill to order that on the day the camera supposedly didn't arrive (but before I report this to customer service)? I'm not normally inclined to hit the same place twice in a row, but I won't have access to UK Amazon for long time.
