This method Works is USA and Canada (Takes time, depending on reps you get etc)
success rate in Canada: 90% and USA: 60% (reason being they call/investigate previous owner much more often in the USA)

To transfer the service tag you will need the following information:
Full Name
Address (or just postal code - getting both is better)
Service Tag
Email
When you Transfer the service tag put their full name, address, postal code, but do not put
their phone number as well do not put their email in the previous email/ previous phone
number on file. If you do this YOUR SE WILL FAIL, as this is the number they automatically
call/email they email to check if the previous owner has their Alienware laptop still or not!
Example of previous owners Alienware Dox:
Original Post: http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-s...l...Z455005662
The service tag: (S/N)1Q3G7W1 M18x-R2
Express service code: 3754698481
Name: David Muttiah
Address: 288 stover crescent.
Pickering, ON
L1V 6R1

I usually get the dox by emailing ads on craigslist.org or kijiji.ca. I recommend doing this as its the easiest way to get a full dox along with phone number (you ask for it to call and talk about the trade or a meetup location to buy then you say never mind). Remember, do not put the previous owner's phone number and previous email as it also emails them when you transfer the service tag if you do that.
Transfer the service tag here:

How to check how much warranty is left on the laptop, specs of laptops with just service tag:

2nd link:

After Dox and Transfer:
Step 1. Call in to 1.800.Alienware (1-800-254-3692) or if you are in Canada call the same number and ask to be transferred to the Canadian Alienware Tech support.
Step 2. Go through the robot and get to alienware technical support. When it asks for the express service tag just press "2" a few times. You can say its for "personal" use.
Step 3. Say your laptop was working fine and it suddenly died, either you turned it off, went to sleep, woke up next morning and it wouldn't turn on anymore. Or you were doing homework, playing games, and it randomly died and wont turn on anymore. Say none of the leds work anymore, wont power on, no usb's/ nothing works/ black screen. They will troubleshoot and ask you to take out battery, hold power button (alienware head) for 30 seconds to discharge the battery power in the motherboard, ask you to try to boot with the battery out and charger in, a few things/ Just play along with all of them (make sure to make some noise and make it sound realistic, as well as time wise, when supposedly taking out the battery, plugging in the laptop etc).
Step 4. Eventually they will offer you a box to be sent to you, accept it. (At this point ask for your customer number, dispatch number, order number and express service code so that you may note it down for the next time you call in). Once you receive the box take pics of the box they sent you, labels and everything. Then take the new label they sent you (return label) and slap it onto the box. Important: Take like 10 picture of the box fully intact and with no damage with the new label on it. Write down the new tracking, and take pis of the labels. Make sure you have all the tracking numbers, the one from the box they sent you, and the one from the label that you are sending back to them. Then follow this Guide and box it:
http://(Censored).com/forums/showthrea...e-Tittytut-One
Added note: Try to use the brown paper style tape, and add a 2nd later of clear tape on-top so It looks like a few types of tape have been used.
Step 5. Find out the weight of the laptop you are doing and buy that in dry ice. (Not necessary but helps with the SE). Spoof the weight, call the Courier's number on the box and have them pick it up from any address you give them.
Step 6. Call them back, once you ship it and let them know you shipped it out, wait until it delivers (then call back 24 - 48 hours afterwards) and ask how the progress of your repair is going, they should tell you that the repair department is fixing your laptop and it is scheduled to be shipped out soon. Call them back a few days later, insist they look into it and ask from them to ask someone at the department to contact you because it has been a few days and you have not heard back from anyone.
Step 7. Give them the tracking numbers from the one they sent you, the one you sent them etc. They will open an investigation and eventually someone will contact you via the phone/email that you transferred the tag too and let you know that they received your box empty. (At this point, if you did not enter the previous owner's phone/email, then they will start the issue of a replacement [which takes 2 weeks to build) you may also tell them you need it ASAP for work etc and they will expedite the shipping process.]) Remember this is the SE part and may take some skill/ patience, Once I had to stay on the phone for 2.5 hours and had to keep insisting That I need my laptops, and that it is the shipping couriers fault that it is missing etc. They will also give you a new tech dedicated to yourself when the replacement begins.
P.S. If they tell you to wait, wait 1 - 3 days and call back doing the exact same thing, if you call 6+ times and get nowhere ask to be transferred to the Supervisor and they will take care of it (to get the replacement, SE will fail if they call/email the previous owner). Sometimes is takes some time to get to a supervisor as well. (Dry ice will help your SE, but you may just send empty box since their labels are prepaid and pre weighed).
