In terms of SEing, you're not gaining anything - It'll be a legit return, correct?

I’ll be keeping the first one that “never got here” and returning the second one as a legitimate return. After a while. So I can still get a refund.

Well, why would you do that? I guess you could directly ask for a refund instead of making it more difficult and longer.

I have it set to deliver at my door but I’ve never had it pop up as OTP or signature.  On my delivery instructions I don’t have anything showing OTP

You have it set to deliver it to your door?
Doesn't that mean you're not responsible if it goes missing..?

You're probably better of (if doing amazon) to do DNA on the first try, then get a refund and trying to do another method like LIT for FTID (i know mothered is gonna hate me for suggesting this) on the second one when u return it.

I'd do it like this:
Order Airpods MAX
Wait for order then 1 day after contact them to say it DNA, ask for a new order even if the rep says they'll refund you.
Wait for the new pair to come.
Wait 1-2 weeks
Open another ticket to request a return (not via their normal return policy) and say you have used the airpods for a while but they dont feel comfortable and after wearing them for about 30 minutes you'd get yourself hurt. They'll apologize and send u a return label (you want to open a chat or call because it will make it more believable)
Try to do LIT / FTID whatever u feel more comfortable with, amazon should be able to take both of them.
Contact rep after another 2-3 weeks saying u never recieved the refund and that you're beginning to get quite angry, first they frick up ur order, then the ones u bought are very uncomfortable and now you have to wait ages for your refund. If you're a bit angry over the phone the rep might be a bit easier since they dont wanna deal with u


If theres a better option i'd love to hear it from anyone, this is how i'd have done it tho if i wanted to double dip

@mothered so I ordered the AirPods Max and they arrived but they (Amazon) took a picture of the package at my door. Now mind you, I live in a building and all doors look the same and they didn’t take a picture of the number on the door. Should I still DNA? Even If your number was Included In the photo, the evidence Is useless.

They can take 100 photos of every angle, It still doesn't change the fact that the package was left unattended at your doorstep, hence anyone could've stolen It.

No, Unfortunately someone reached out to me and said that they can’t offer a refund and that I would have to file a police report.
