Have you ever used Action Fraud? They have given me an option to make a case on that website.

I have done Argos about five times and it has been straight forward. You definitely should've purchased another item with it. Just be careful with PayPal, if you open too many cases then they will permanently ban your account and you won't be able to open another one.
