Advice with refund 05-22-2023, 02:47 PM
#1
I'm new to refunding and before I found this forum I decided to try it on amazon with zero knowledge (I mean whats the worst that could happen). I bought a £500 laptop on an old account with tons of orders and I called up amazon saying the box was empty, now reading previous forums I now understand it was probably a mistake trying EB on a laptop.
They said they will call up UPS and Ill here back from amazon in 2-5 days. Well I haven't heard from them and its been a week.
I need advice, should I just pull the plug or carry on, because I don't think the EB method will work.

EB was truly a mistake, since the package is too heavy. If you didnt required OTP or a signature, you could try DNA.
From my perspective, tell Amazon: "I found the laptop, my lil brother made a joke of it"
Then send the package back.
Your account is now probably flagged
It's doesn't matter what you claim with Amazon. both eb/dna ends up as item not received in the process.
I have claimed EB on monitors/TV before. Amazon refunds are simply based on your account. Customer service can't circumvent a refund, The account either gives them an option or not.
OP needs to contact them again and see what they say. If he doesn't have a previous flagged/closed account they will refund him or ask for PR.

You are fine. Just contact them again. Amazon support is one of the worst, they not going to contact you on their own.
They will refund you if you don't have a closed account with that same address. 50 inch TV been EB twice.

You did something wrong buddy. Or you just used an account that had multiple refunds done.
I don't believe in what I say. Everything is just fictional and made for a good laugh.
I don't answer PM.

Yes, Amz does not care the reason you give them. The customer rep is just following a script of questions, really just depends on your account/related accounts. You can also DNA it.
TV was back in 2021 and under 1k but i can say EB was used for a macbook recently. PR was required for the Mac though. If your account is good the worst is them asking you for a PR if it's an high value item.

Didn’t they bother you for the weight problem?
Did you stated that the amazon box was intact? and did you said the tv box was sealed or tampered? How may days for refund?
Maybe they hardened they controls now..

The TV box was empty, refunded while on phone. Shouldn't matter if your account is clean like I have said. You can just DNA it if you want. I partially EB because my house # was on photo.

Understand, did you say that the tv box was sealed or opened/tampered?
