Quite a while. I have a LOT of time on my hands, so I just got some characters, put them in a N++ txt file, and went to work in photoshop. Easier than it looks, just very time consuming. And thank you very much.

As far as the text goes, it just starts off the basic black and white.

If something needs to be colored, just get a simple, very light (and when I say light, not in color.. but as in very delicate) and make a new layer behind the text, and color in what you think should be colored. It takes some time to get used to though. But even then, it's still pretty difficult. I don't use a tablet by the way. I did when I was a drawfriend, though. A pen pressure wood bamboo tablet. I used that thing for years.
