SuperSU is definitely the best solution compared to random apps like these.

SuperSU is simply a manager for calls to su. However, it's existence does not determine if you are 'rooted' or not. If you have a custom root binary replacing the normal one, then you are rooted. How you modify the binary and what graphical manager you use has nothinng to do with if you are or are not rooted.

SuperSU is a root manager, not a rooting tool. These apps are tools which 'root' your phone using one or more privilege escalation exploits for vulnerabilities in the Android OS, which then allows for a root manager such as SuperSU to be installed.

I've seen KingoRoot/OneClickRoot do a couple things without hesitation, but most are left off the table. Also if you look through their site with more than a cursory glance, they straight up tell you it doesn't work for anything running post Android 5.x.x
We're on 8 and moving onward. KingoRoot is crap.

Maybe you have some ideas on this: I found the SU binary already installed on most of my android devices by way of Busybox, which seems to be installed on everything post Android 6 (from what I'm seeing).
Only problem is when one goes about calling busybox-sm su it demands an administrative ID of some sort.

Anyone come across this, or have any ideas on how to utilize the already packed busybox su?

Lmao the hardest Android model to root by far is the Samsung Galaxy J3. All I can say is good luck with that.

Busybox's su is simply the UNIX utility su. It doesn't have the whole Android frontend, and it doesn't come with the priv esc exploit needed to gain root in the first place.

Hardest, but certainly not Impossible.

I have the Samsung Galaxy J1, but have yet to play around with It. In your views, Is there any difference between the two?
