So I have been working AMD for about a week and they finally approved the RMA for a CPU which I had the serial number of.

They have generated a DHL shipping label and included in the pdf for the label is a form that says the courier should inspect the package and ensure what is in there is an AMD CPU.
I was just wondering if anyone has encountered this and if so, did they actually inspect it? I can’t imagine couriers have the time to inspect a package on collection.

Alternatively I could just go to a DHL drop off location at a store with it all sealed up and I’m sure they’d have no idea?

When It comes to following protocol, DHL Is not exactly the most compliant carrier but for the most part, they do Inspect goods on collection.

You may be In luck to have a complacent driver who couldn't care less, but you obviously can't risk It.

Where applicable (as In this case), special Instructions are stored Internally with the warehouse/administration department at the depot.

If the consignment Is not marked as checked by the driver, It will alert DHL.

I know, but have they stated where the package will be Inspected?

Sorry for misunderstand you. Yes so the pdf with the shipping label etc says “ Do not seal your shipment as the courier must inspect the contents.”

So it must be inspected on collection?

Tell them that you're not available to meet their delivery arrangement (away for work commitments, moving house, etc), but you're more than happy to organize your brother to take It to a DHL drop off location.
